Kelesina Shores hostshosted the party in her home in the city of [[New Seran]], on the edge of the [[Elendel Basin]]. It is notable for a number of reasons: [[Wax]] encountered both [[Hoid]] and [[Khrissalla]],{{book ref|mb6|11}}{{book ref|mb6|12}} he learned more about the activities of [[Mister Suit]] and the [[Set]],{{book ref|mb6|14}} and he came into possession of both an [[Feruchemy#Unkeyed Metalmind|unkeyed metalmind]] and an [[Feruchemy#Unsealed_Metalminds|unsealed metalmind]].{{book ref|mb6|11}}{{book ref|mb6|16}}

While searching for the [[Bands of Mourning]], the [[kandra]] [[ReLuur]] becomesbecame "fixated" on a number of nobles in New Seran.{{book ref|mb6|3}} ReLuur believesbelieved that several of these nobles, including Kelesina Shores, have had interactioninteractions with [[Edwarn Ladrian]].{{book ref|mb6|4}} Unfortunately, ReLuur's notes arewere incompletenot andcompleted hebefore hashe gonewent insane due to the removal of twoone of his [[hemalurgicHemalurgic]] spikes, so [[VenDell]] taskstasked [[Waxillium Ladrian]] with further investigation, starting with Kelesina's party.{{book ref|mb6|4}} Wax takestook a train to New Seran, accompanied by [[Wayne]], [[Steris]], [[Marasi]], and [[MeLaan]].{{book ref|mb6|4}}

Marasi and Wayne skipskipped the party in order to search for clues regarding ReLuur's fate, while MeLaan decidesdecided to attend in the body of a muscular man.{{book ref|mb6|10}}{{book ref|mb6|12}} Wax iswas not looking forward to interacting with nobility, but Steris hashad prepared a notebook with information on all known attendees to help guide them.{{book ref|mb6|11}} They runran into a beggar named [[Hoid]] on the way in, who givesgave Wax an [[Feruchemy#Unsealed Metalminds|unusual coin]].{{book ref|mb6|11}} They havehad an unpleasant encounter with a local noble, [[Gave Entrone]], who directsdirected several thinly-veiled insults at the couple.{{book ref|mb6|11}} [[Khrissalla]] appearsappeared on the dance floor and asks Wax several questions about the physics of his [[Allomantic]] and [[Feruchemical]] abilities, then quickly vanishesvanished.{{book ref|mb6|12}} Wax then meetsmet with an informant, [[Devlin Airs]], who tellstold him that he hashad seen other strange coins changing hands and also givesgave him some tips about the [[Set]]'s activities in [[Dulsing]] and the anti-[[Elendel]] sentiment in the outer Basin.{{book ref|mb6|13}} Wax then talkstalked to Kelesina Shores and spooksspooked her by showing her the unusual coin.{{book ref|mb6|13}} Kelesina scurriesscurried away, but Steris createscreated a distraction by forcing herself to vomit all over the table.{{book ref|mb6|13}}

While Steris recoversrecovered, Wax hearsheard Mayor [[Bastien Severington]] of [[Bilming]] giving a speech denouncing Elendel and realizesrealized that civil war may actuallyhave beindeed been brewing.{{book ref|mb6|14}} He retrievesretrieved a gun that Steris sneaked into the party and fliesflew to a second floor balcony seeking Kelesina.{{book ref|mb6|14}} He eventually findsfound her and concealsconcealed himself nearby so he cancould hear her conversing with [[Mister Suit]], Wax'shis uncle Edwarn and, a high-ranking member of the [[Set]] also known as Mister Suit.{{book ref|mb6|14}} Wax believesbelieved that he hashad enough evidence to convict Kelesina, but iswas not sure about Suit.{{book ref|mb6|15}} [[Kelesina Shores's [[Terris]]womansteward|Kelesina's Terriswoman steward]] rushesrushed in to inform her that a [[Seeker]] in Kelesina's employ had detected Allomancy in the area, and Wax comescame out of hiding.{{book ref|mb6|15}}

Wax iswas disappointed to see that Suit iswas not present but iswas actuallyinstead talking through an advanced communication device.{{book ref|mb6|16}} Kelesina's steward revealsrevealed herself as a [[Pewter#Feruchemical_Use|Brute]] and attacksattacked Wax, then killstook his gun and killed Kelesina with his gunit, hoping to frame him for murder.{{book ref|mb6|16}} Wax attemptsattempted to escape, but he encountersencountered one of the Set's [[kill squadssquad]]s, who were armed with [[aluminum]] weapons.{{book ref|mb6|16}} Wax evadesevaded them, but iswas caught by the steward; MeLaan showsshowed up to help and they killkilled or disabledisabled all of the attackers.{{book ref|mb6|16}} Wax realizesrealized that Suit had always planned to have Kelesina killed, and retrievesretrieved a powerful [[gold]] [[Feruchemy#Unkeyed Metalmind|unkeyed metalmind]] that she had on her person.{{book ref|mb6|16}} He also takestook the communication device, which he plansplanned to send to Elendel for inspection.{{book ref|mb6|16}}

Wax later citescited the events of the party as an example of Steris being helpful, contrary to her position that she iswas irrelevant to his adventures.{{book ref|mb6|31}}
