{{settlement}}
This is a guide for what sections to include on a page describing a settlement. Note that a settlement here could refer to a city, town, village, or any other long term settlement of sapient beings.
The part before the in-depth sections should be a few paragraphs long (at most) and is meant to be a general overview of where the city is located, its government, and a brief overview of its history/ethnicities/culture.
History
This section should describe, in subsections with date ranges, the history of the city, starting from its formation and going up to the current date in the text.
=== Period (date range) ==
Geography
This section should cover the geographic setting, geographical features, climate, layout, and organization.
Landmarks
List notable landmarks or locations in the settlement.
Culture
A description of the culture of the settlement, including nationalities, ethnicities, languages, religions, entertainment, and economics.
Government
This section should describe the local government (and national government for capitals), politics, notable political figures, and any military role/presence.
Notable Citizens
List notable characters associated with this settlement.
Trivia
Out of universe facts and info about how Brandon created it.
Notes
The notes section should first list <references /> then include the book navbox and any other extra categories (though we prefer these to be tags listed in one part of the infobox). Just prior to the navbar there may be an article status template, one of {{stub}}
, {{partial}}
, or {{complete}}
.
