Before having powers, David fights usingwith a riflevariety of guns and tensors.Prof’s gifted tensor and shielding abilities.
 
After capturing David, Regalia convinces Calamity to give David Epic powers. However, because David faces his fear of water, he prevents Calamity’s influence from sending him on a destructive rampage. Once Calamity leaves their realm, David can use his powers freely without becoming evil. David’s power set is identical to that of Strelheart’s.
After being captured by [[Regalia]], and at her urging, [[Calamity (Epic)|Calamity]] gives David the Epic Powers of [[Steelheart (Epic)|Steelheart]]. However, due to David having already confronted his fears moments prior, [[Calamity (Epic)|Calamity]] was unable to force David to turn evil through the powers. David's powers manifest when he is under great stress.
