'''Renarin Kholin''' was a [[lighteyes]] from [[Alethkar]] on [[Roshar]].
He was the second son of [[Dalinar]], and the younger brother of [[Adolin]]. Renarin was a proper, solemn young man although many people found his presence to be disturbing due to his tendency to pause when asked questions. He wore spectacles. In [[The Way of Kings]], he was 19 years old. The kings [[Wit]] seemed to have a particular interest in Renarin and was generally much more good-natured and polite to him than to other lighteyes.
Renarin had a weakness in his blood that caused episodes of shaking unpredictably. Because of this, he had little practice with using a weapon, and no battle experience, however it was thought that if he obtained a set of [[Shardplate]] he may be able to overcome his blood-weakness and learn to fight effectively. Dalinar promised to give Renarin his Shardplate after being proclaimed Highprince of War.
