Back at the hotel, Wayne is reading a novel about a rocket ship while Marasi paces. Wax and Steris arrive through a window and they quickly share some of the information they've acquired. They leave in a hurry. The constables are coming for them.
 
WayneWax sits in the dark smoking a cigar. MeLaan asks if he's going to go back to Elendel. It won't look good that the emissary from there (presumably) killed the host of a political rally. Wax hates Harmony because he betrayed him. He decides to head to Dulsing.
