Eager to prove himself, Elit is goaded into a duel by Adolin, despite discouragement from those around him. He fights four on one against Adolin, along with Relis, [[Abrobadar]], and [[Jakamav]], but ends up losing when Adolin receives assistance from Renarin and Kaladin.{{book ref|sa2|56}} His favored dueling [[stance]] is Vinestance.
