Okay, so I personally know that this character is based on a relative of mine (my grandfather, Mark Teofil Skarstedt), but I don't know of any times when Brandon has said so that are available to link to. Can I still put that in the trivia? I'm just gonna go ahead and add it for now, but I get it if it gets taken down. |

:Hi there, this trivia item was discussed by the [[Coppermind:Keepers|Keepers]] and we didn't see any issue with it. It looks like Brandon wrote an endorsement for the Kindle edition of The Shore People, so he clearly knows Mark.
