In order to begin understanding the local politics, [[Vin]] confronts her in front of her group of women with a claim that she is planning to abandon the city. Vin then makes clear that she has earned her reputation, citing her killing of [[Shan Elariel]], and says that she and [[Elend Venture]] will conquer the city and will have little use for those who opposed them when they do.
