History
Jacob Pham became an Epic while living in the city of St. Joseph.calamity He granted his powers to Diggers there, who created an extensive set of caverns throughout the countryside that later became the site of David Charleston and Megan Tarash's confrontation with Jonathan Phaedrus.calamity

Later, Digzone moved to Newcago to work with Steelheart. With his powers, Diggers there created the underground portion of the city, complete with drainage and air shafts.steelheart They were given the whole of the city under which to work, with the exception of the area under the First Union Bank.steelheart The original plan was for the city to stretch down several levels, and the Diggers carved out multiple layers with tunnels and rooms. These places became home to many of the lower class people, and during the time when the Diggers were active, people poured into the city for work.steelheart However, soon the Diggers began to go mad due to the power gifted them.steelheart The tunnels began to change size, and the Diggers left unfinished rooms behind.steelheart Loose wiring hung down in various places, and the Reckoners in Newcago even found rooms carved out with no way to enter but with lights shining inside.steelheart Digzone's fate since the Diggers' madness is unknown.
