Lightspren, more commonly known in Shadesmar as Reachers, are a subset of spren. They are often guides in Shadesmar as they like to travel to different places, trading and selling goods.[1] They use Mandras to pull their ships.[2]

Reachers appear human though they have metallic bronze skin, similar to living statues.[2] They have bronze metal eyes with holes for the pupils.[3] The ones on Captain Ico's ship wear human clothing, though they are barefoot. This is so that they can walk along the vibrating copper lines set into the ship. Shallan believes they use it to communicate.[2]

Reachers are the spren of an order of the Knights Radiant, as Captain Ico's father is a deadeye who was killed during the Recreance.[3] Which order they belong to is currently unknown.
