After [[Sazed]] picked up both [[Shard]]s, becoming [[Harmony]], more than one type of Mist began appearing, and the Mists no longer obscured the land every night. There are now two types of Mists.: Onea darker mist representing [[Ruin]], and a darkerlighter mist, and the other representing Preservation, a lighter mist. Where the miststhere are Mists, [[Harmony]] can more directly influence things. The mists appear to have become a more localized phenomenon, only covering a section of land each night instead of the whole land.{{qa ref|727|8|Do all three Metallic Arts still exist after the events of the book?|date=2008-10-15}} The Mists no longer Snap People as they once did, and it is unknown how this is done now.
