The specifics of how Odium created the Unmade are unknown.
It is possible the process would be similar to [[Raboniel]]'s attempt to unmake [[the Sibling]]. While [[Investiture|Invested]] with [[Voidlight]], Raboniel placed her hands on the Sibling's pillar. The Sibling reacted by glowing with [[Towerlight]]. The Voidlight moved from Raboniel into the pillar's embedded garnets, starting the process of corruption.{{book ref|sa4|38}}
