With the Lord Ruler's Terris breeding program and laws against intermarriage ended, the Terris are no longer an entirely isolated population in post-[[Catacendre]] Scadrial. Feruchemical and Allomantic genes have combined to allow for [[Twinborn]] who have both [[Allomancy]] and Feruchemy.
However, many Terris still maintain a culture of their own distinct from the majority society of the Basin. [[The Village]] is a major Terris enclave in Elendel. {{book ref|mb5|prologue}} A Terris Synod exists in the Village {{book ref|mb5|5}}. This Synod has no official control over other Terris enclaves, but would claim to have more authority than they actually possess {{wob ref|9591}}.
