Syl is one of the the first [[honorspren]] the [[Stormfather]] created rather than [[Honor]]. Because she is the only one to survive the [[Recreance]], he feels very protective of her.{{book ref|sa3|108}} The Stormfather commands her return and either approves of or instigates a bounty after Syl sneaks away to bond Kaladin.
