An ardent, Elista, in a monestary near the Horneater Peaks tries to find a place of quiet. She is fraustrated that everyone is arguing about the Everstorm. She goes off into the forest and begins to read her novel. Another ardent, Urv interupts her and they talk about the Dawnchant. Elista is superior at translating it. Urv offers to rent the sequel of the book Elista was reading if she helps him with a particularly difficult passage of the Dawnchant.
