The [[Pits of Hathsin]] are not a true pool, the pool exists under the pits. This Pool Isis connected to the power of the Shard of [[Ruin]]. Apparently the same as the Pool near [[Elantris]].{{qa ref|1092|1|Are the Elantrian pool and Horneater lake connected?|date=Nov 29th, 2014}} This pool will kill people if they are not a Horneater. This may be an oversimplification; it maybemay be a Specificspecific sub -set of Horneaters that can swim there and live.
