The Parshendi live in the area of Roshar known as the [[Shattered plains]]. They are related to, and physically resemble in some aspects, [[Parshmen\|The Parshmen]]. However, the Parshendi are mentally much more intelligent than the Parshmen. Male Parshendi grow beards, which they thread through beads infused with [[stormlight]] Originally discovered by [[Gavilar\|King Gavilar]] during a hunting trip, not much is known about the way of the Parshendi.
