In one ancient fable, a woman named [[Parasaphi]] founded thisthe nation with her ten children, the first Makabaki, whoafter hatchedher frompeople theare wiped out by a [[Desolation]]. Parasaphi found ten [[seedstones]] that were "touched by [[Herald]]s" on the [[Peaks of Dara]]. She then harvested seed from [[Nadris]] on his deathbed to bring life to the stones.{{book ref|sa1|61}}
