History
Balat Davar thinks that he was a contact between the people who came for the Soulcaster and their father.
Luesh joins the Davar household circa , and he quickly becomes a confidant of Lin Davar.sa2 Although he denies it, Luesh is presumably the person who gave Lin an illicit Soulcaster fabrial.sa1 Luesh is trained to use the Soulcaster, and he and Lin work with a surveyor to create artificial marble deposits on Davar land,sa1 significantly improving the family's previously dire financial situation.sa2 Lin is able to leverage the restored name of House Davar to gain political influence in the Valam princedom,sa2 likely positioning himself to become highprince.sa1

After Lin's death, the Davar children find the Soulcaster, which is now broken.sa1 The family tries to have the fabrial repaired, but Luesh cannot make it function.sa1 Desperate for money, Shallan soon devises a plan to steal Jasnah Kholin's Soulcaster.sa1 After she sets out on her journey, Balat and Eylita inform her that Luesh died in his sleep, and that a pendant with a distinctive symbol was found on his body.sa1 Furthermore, a group of individuals visited the Davar estate—one of whom had a tattoo of the same symbol on his hand—professing knowledge of the Soulcaster and demanding that it be returned, intensifying the need for Shallan to steal Jasnah's fabrial.sa1 Balat concludes that Luesh was a plant all along, and that he acted as a liaison between Lin and his mysterious backers.sa1
Luesh died in his sleep before Shallan managed to steal Jasnah's Soulcaster. Balat did not think there was any reason to suspect the he had been murdered.sa1

Shallan learns that Kabsal had the same symbol tattooed on his arm, implying that he and Luesh belonged to an organization that Jasnah believes to be named the Ghostbloods; Shallan worries that her father was also a member.sa1 She later confirms the existence of the Ghostbloods after meeting Mraize.sa2
He was a confidant and adviser to Lin Davar. He was trained to use the family Soulcaster.
