Lorain worked in a medical clinic in the [[Urithiru]] markets with other Edgedancers and nurses. When [[Raboniel]] attacked [[Urithiru]] and reversed the effects of the [[Sibling]]'s protection [[fabrial]] to interfere with [[Radiant]] powers, Lorain and another Edgedancer fell unconscious. Lorain hit her head, causing some bleeding. A nurse that was working in the clinic attended to her wound, and was confused by what had happened; when [[Kaladin]] came to investigate, the nurse theorized that there may have been a [[dazewater]] leak.{{book ref|sa4|39}}
