Although the [[Kandra Homeland]] has long been abandoned and revered as a holy place, kandra still get together, albeit under a human guise and in human society.{{book ref|mb5|20}}
At some point long after the Catecendre, and likely after the events of ''[[The Lost Metal]]'', [[Sazed]] is said by [[Hoid]] to have "released them," referring to Kandra as a whole. The true meaning of this statement is currently unknown.{{book ref|Tress|42}}
