The Almighty is worshipped as a god on the world of Roshar. At the time of The Way of Kings he is dead and leaves a series of visions received by Dalinar triggered by the Highstorms.

He holds Honor, one of the shards of Adonalsium.[1]

Theories

  • Because the Almighty holds Honor, it has been theorized that his original name was Tanavast. Kaladin is addressed as follows in a vision.

"Child of Tanavast. Child of Honor. Child of the one long since departed."[2]

As the Almighty matches the last two requirements, it stands to reason that the first applies to him as well.
