====Atium====
An atium metalmind can be used to store up age. The Feruchemist spends time old while filling the metalmind and gains back that youth when tapping it. The Lord Ruler compounded atium metalminds to release the stored up age multiplied by many times. He then stored that back in metalminds to fill them up with a seemingly endless supply of youthfulness. This was how he stayed young throughout his long reign. When Vin ripped off his bracers, he was no longer able to tap them and aged to where his body would normally be.
