Wayne found the double entendre in his name humorous, and was disappointed that Marasi approached the situation from an official constabulary angle rather than using subterfuge.{{book ref|mb6|11}} Although Marasi presented identification, Eriola was suspicious of the pair. He stalled while he requested confirmation from Constable-General [[Reddi]] that their investigation was legitimate before he divulged any information. While he waited, Wayne constructed a tower using the objects on Eriola's desk and covertly swapped his letter-opener for a very long rat's tail.
