When [[Wayne]] was pursuing the [[Marksman]] in {{date|342|PC}}, a resident of the slums claimed to recognize him as Edip's son; Wayne used this to his advantage to try and fit in.{{book ref|mb5|3}} A different person later identified Wayne as Edip's son while Wayne was near the slums looking for [[Ranette]].{{book ref|mb6|4}}
The names of Wayne's parents are unknown, and Wayne does not confirm or deny a relationship with Edip in either of the instances where he was seemingly recognized.
