[[Waxillium Ladrian]] and [[Lessie]] have fought against Donal and his crew on a number of occasions.{{book ref|aolmb4|prologue}} In self-defense, Wax once shot Donal's brother, who Donal dislikes, during a railcar robbery and. Lessie shot Donal's son, who survived but lost a toe. As a result, Donal's crew has standing orders to shoot Wax and Lessie on sight. [[Bloody Tan]] stole a shipment of [[bendalloy]] from Donal, who put a price on Tan's head and sent his crew to hunt him down. Coincidentally, Donal's men, Wax, and Lessie, all tracked Tan to [[Feltrel]] on the same day. Wax was tempted to let Donal's crew and Tan have it out, but decided against it.
