Auxiliary's personality before the dawnshardDawnshard killed him is unknown. The dawnshardDawnshard burned away most of his essence, including parts of his personality.{{book ref|tsm|12}}{{book ref|tsm|20}} Due to this he lacks emotion, always talking in the same monotone voice.{{book ref|tsm|1}} He is self conscious about this however, and adds emotions where he thinks they should be. Instead of in the tone he just adds these emotions as words to his sentences.

While his death was caused by Sigzil, Auxiliary doesn't truly blame him for it, instead blaming it on the dawnshardDawnshard.{{book ref|tsm|28}} Auxiliary views himself as the Knight, and Sigzil as his squire.{{book ref|tsm|29}}

Although Auxiliary is a highspren, there are a number of differences between him and ordinary spren. This is because a [[dawnshard]]Dawnshard burned away most of his essence.{{book ref|tsm|20}}

Sometime after [[Sigzil]] lost his bondbonded to his honorspren, Auxiliary bonded him. Sigzil is known to have sworn the fourthFourth idealIdeal of the skybreakersSkybreakers.

In a moment of need Sigzil, carrying the dawnshard, reached out for investitureInvestiture to protect himself, the dawnshardDawnshard found it in Auxiliary and started to use his essence to fuel Sigzil's abilities.{{book ref|tsm|20}} Sigzil was barely able to stop before the dawnshardDawnshard burned away all of Auxiliary.
