Ardents were the only people allowed to use [[Soulcasting]] and [[Fabrial]]s, and surrounded this practice with much mystery that Soulcastings were always performed at night and under heavy guard to prevent any other than Aardentsardents and high-ranking lighteyes from viewing it so that few outside the ardentia were even aware of how Soulcasting was performed. They were not allowed to use Soulcasters on people.
