At some point after the [[Recreance]] and the subsequent [[Scouring of Aimia]], Alm experienced an influx of refugees from Aimia, although it is not certain when exactly this occurred and at what rate.{{book ref|sa3.5|9}} It is also unclear how many refugees immigrated to Alm and what impact this might have had on the local culture and population.
[[Lift]] once visited Alm and enjoyed her time there, since relatively few people tried to kill her.{{book ref|sa2.5|4}}
