I want to make my user page, but when I try it says something along the lines of “You don’t have permission to edit this page” and I was trying to figure out where I could GET permission. If you’re able to help, that would be great.

:Hi TheAlpha, we restrict who can create pages to prevent just anyone from creating new pages in the main namespace, but unfortunately it also applies to user pages. I have created your user page and you should now be able to edit it. Let me know if you have any issues.
