[[Hoid]] uses one to tell [[Kaladin]] the story of [[Derethil]] and the [[Wandersail]].{{book ref|sa1|57}} He then gives the flute to Kaladin, who then leaves it in the [[Bridge Four]] barracks in [[Shattered Plains|Sadeas warcamp]], before it being presumably looted/destroyed during the [[Everstorm]].{{book ref|sa2|55}}
