;Summary
The crew chat in the backup lair, waiting for Kelsier to return. When he does, he tells them how he destroyed the [[Pits of Hathsin]]. The next day, Vin talks to Sazed about the [[Eleventh Metal]], and Tase - a lookout ([[Tineye]]?) replacing Spook while he escorts Renoux out of the city - announces another gathering in the square. As most of the crew take a spot on a rooftop, they notice that Spook is in one of the prisoner carts. Kelsier moves to free the prisoners, and comes face to face with an Inquisitor after tearing the door off one prisoner cart. While Kelsier fights the Inquisitor, Ham runs off to find some members of the skaa army to help fight. Dockson prevents Vin from joining the fight physically, so she assists Breeze in manipulating the soldiers’ emotions. Elend pushes his way into the fray where the skaa army and the Luthadel soldiers are fighting, looking for Valette.
