Shallan is a character from the series [[The Stormlight Archive]].
Shallan Davar is from [[Jah Keved]], a member of the [[Vorinism#Devotaries|Devotary]] of Purity. She is a [[Soulcaster]] and currently receiving training from [[Jasnah]]. She is in possession of a [[Shardblade]]. She is also known to have murdered her father.
Shallan is considered shy by her family, but when she leaves the family estates behind, she opens up and gains confidence. She has a quick wit, and often unthinkingly utters the first thing to come to mind.
==The Way of Kings==
Shallan spends several months chasing [[Jasnah]] across many cities, hoping to become her ward as to steel [[Jasnah]]'s [[soulcaster]]. She finally catches up to [[Jasnah]] in [[Kharbranth]], and attempts to convince her to take Shallan as her ward three times, finally succeeding on the third.
Shallan begins studying with Jasnah, and develops a friendship with the ardent [[Kabsal]].
