(Undo revision 140501 by Debarra (talk) I don't think this is what the passage is saying - Sel's method is different to those on all the other planets listed but we don't know if that is also the case if Sand Mastery is compared with the other (not Sel) Initiation systems. From this reference, the only thing we can really say is that it is different to Sel's Initiation.)

Sand mastery must be taught and does not appear spontaneously. It can take weeks to decide if a person has the ability or not.
