Due to a combination of their two surges, Lightweavers have new, secondary effects, know as a [[Resonance]].{{wob ref|3625}} Lightweavers have many Resonances, with a prominent one dealing with mnemonic abilities.{{wob ref|6740}}{{book ref|sa2|49}}[[disputed]] This includes the ability to deliberately memorize a scene (usually involving blinking) after which the Lightweaver can paint or draw that scene with remarkable accuracy.{{book ref|sa2|1}}{{wob ref|915}} The ability to memorize scenes and reproduce them accurately is similar to the ability of a [[Feruchemist]] to store memories in a [[copper]]mind,{{book ref|mb4|part=ars}} in that both talents involve the removal of a memory from the mind and its replacement in another medium - in the Lightweaver's case, a sketch rather than a coppermind. This ability is affected by the presence of the [[Unmade]].{{cite}} There is an upper limit to how many memories can be stored at once.{{wob ref|3244}} Another mnemonic ability a Lightweaver can have is seeing color and light a little bit differently from how other people do.{{wob ref|11531}}[[disputed]] Lightweavers generally do not have these mnemonic abilities before bonding a Cryptic and are not something that Cryptics are necessarily interested in when searching for a person to bond with.{{wob ref|1296}}

Another Resonance Lightweavers have is an ability to affect a person's mood a little bit based on how the Lightweaver views them.{{wob ref|11531}}[[disputed]] They are also perhaps able to to create a solid illusion by combining their Illumination surge and their Soulcasting.{{wob ref|3625}}
