Two othermore of these beasts followedfollow, and after Heb (Dalinar) foughtfights them off, heHeb tooktakes his wife and daughter and fledflees out offrom the house, only to run into other Midnight Essences. When he and his family thoughtthink theyall wereis lost, two Knights Radiant camecome. One immediately beganbegins to fight the beasts while the second useduses "Regrowth" forto healing onheal Heb and his family before joining her companion in fighting the Midnight Essences. Feeling good again after the healing, Heb joinedjoins the fight and the three of them foughtfight off the Midnight Essences. The male Knight Radiant, [[Harkaylain]], askedasks Heb about his strange fighting stances and invitedinvites him to come to [[Urithiru]], where the Knights Radiant are centered,: because everybody who could fight wasis needed.{{ref|b|sa1|c|19}}

Though Dalinar triedtries to get an answerexplanation for their abandonment from the leaving former Knights Radiant, he gotgets none. In this vision Dalinar wasis shown the aftermath of a Desolation. His embodimentrole wasis Karm,as whoa wasman thenamed Karm, an advisor ofto a king, probably [[Nohadon]] himself. This king waveredwavers over what to do with the [[Surgebinding|Surgebinders]], and how they could be forcedmade to act more honorablehonorably. Though this king wasis younger than Dalinar had imagined Nohadon andto hebe, and refused the idea of writing a book as absurd, Dalinar wasis sure that he was right about him being Nohadon. Eventually this man decideddecides to unite the people forso athat betterthey standingcan stand better against future Desolations.{{ref|b|sa1|c|60}}

This is the last vision recorded in [[The Way of Kings]]. Dalinar foundfinds himself in a place that he recognizedrecognizes as the place of his very first vision. A man stoodstands beside him, showing him what might happen andin tellingthe himfuture—though the man admits that [[Cultivation]] wasis better in seeing the future than he. Then, finally, Dalinar realizedrealizes that this voice, this man, never has never heard him, andexplaining sowhy he never answered hisDalinar's questions.
