All Ars Arcanum content is written by the same person, (not Hoid{{ref|name=jacket}}) who is a member of the 17th Shard.{{qa ref|632|4}} In an interview, Brandon implied that [[Nazh]] is involved somehow.{{cite}}
In an AMA on Reddit, Brandon stated that Khriss knows more about the cosmere than anyone, including Hoid, which has led to the assumption that Khriss may be the writer of the Ars Arcanum. Khriss is one of two protagonists in Brandon's unpublished novel White Sands.
