After the voyage, land was sighted by the watch to the relieve of Adolin and Gallant. Adolin decided, to send lightweavers with disguiseddisguises into town first while the rest of the humans hidstayed in hiding. He was surprised that Shallan was hungover as she could have healed using stormlight the night before. While waiting, the highprince and Godeke looked at their dwindling stormlight reservereserves and the planplanned to trade it for supplies here at the town. Adolin then went to check on Maya and he wondered if she would join hihim in a new kata, not the usual morning ritual one. He started it and after two tries she joined and performed it perfectly. They went to check it out, and found an unwelcoming caravan with people looking Tukari.On approach the people looked shed in shadows, and they arewere send away in broken Alethi. Adolin went on to greet Notum, and discovered the honorspren had exiledbeen punished and exiled him for the help he had rendered the Radiants in their earlier voyage. When Adolin told him of his mission, Notum was shocked and tried to discourage him as he deemed it a futile effort. Notum toldexplained you dondidn't normalize relations with a thief, and the humans had stolen Syl. Adolin countered it was her free choice, and if they cared so much about her they should have perhaps have listened to her,. Maya reacted to this with a growl. While he looked at Maya, Notum predicted that the envoy would be turned away instantly when reaching Lasting Integrity because of what humans did to the spren, while he looked at Maya. The highprince countered that they had done nothing to them and it was thousands of years ago, to which Notum remarked that was not even a lifetime for many spren. After Notum told of his exile, he asked Adolin if they had managed to save the bondsmith. He couldn't lie and so admitted it was the bondsmith who had saved them.{{book ref|sa4|30}}
