'''Jastes Lekal''' was a [[noble]] of the [[Final Empire]] on [[Scadrial]].
He was a friend and compatriot of Elend Venture and [[Telden Hasting]]. The three often met at balls and discussed contemporary, even rebellious politics. After the [[Collapse]] Jastes escaped to the [[Southern Dominance]]. The lives of some of his family members, including his sister, were lost during [[skaa]] uprisings.This was at least in part due to the fact that he tried to implement several of [[Elend]]s ideas in governing his lands, such as freedom and political honesty, which was seen as a sign of weakness and led to him losing control.
