At Sadeas' stage area Navani tooktakes her way through the crowded people after hearing rumors that Sadeas came back from battle without Dalinar. Renarin followedfollows her. Sadeas toldtells Navani that the Parshendi overwhelmed Dalinar's forces, and he had to retreat for saving his own peoplemen.
Navani didndoesn't believe Sadeas' words. Searching for justice she createdcreates a ''Thath'' glyph on the ground, burning it up. Eventually one of Sadeas' men spottedspots Dalinar's army approaching from the Shattered Plains. Sadeas wasis visibly upset but pretendedpretends to be relieved that Dalinar survived. They talkedtalk to each other for a while. Then Dalinar askedasks Sadeas for the costs for Bridge Four. As Sadeas blockedblocks the possibility to give away his bridgemen, Dalinar summonedsummons his Shardblade and offeredoffers it for trade to get all of Sadeas' bridgemen. Sadeas, eager to finally get a Shardblade, mademakes this deal.
Later on this day Dalinar wentgoes to confront Elhokar that he cut his saddle girth himself thereby bringing suspicion on Dalinar what could have ended bad. He also toldtells Elhokar about what happened on the battlefield when Sadeas betrayed Dalinar. Then Dalinar forcedforces Elhokar to proclaim him as Highprince of War.
