The '''Emuli-Tukari War''' was a military conflict on [[Roshar]] that sprung up between the bordering kingdoms of [[Emul]] and [[Tukar]] during the time of the [[Alethi]] [[VengeanceWar Pactof Reckoning]]. The conflict began when the Emuli claimed the city [[Sesemalex Dar]] as their capital city, and due to the city being a successful trading city, the Tukari wanted the city for themselves. The Emuli also claimed that the city was their ancestral homeland, and a gift from the [[Herald]]s, because the city's pattern is central to their religion. The city is also believed to be one of the [[Dawncity|Dawncities]], which is likely another cause for the conflict.{{ref|b|twok|c|54}}
