It is likely caused by the being known as [[Nergaoul]]. It is strongest in [[Alethkar]], but also exists in [[Jah Keved]], causing those nations to be more warlike. Nations such as [[Shinovar]] do not have the Thrill, and as a result are much more peaceful. |

According to description, the Thrill "sings" and is a feeling of glory. It focuses a person{{book ref|sa1|19}} and gives them strength to disregard external influences. [[Dalinar]] feels it very strongly, but it is beginning to go away. At one point, he was fighting [[Parshendi]] and the Thrill went away. He felt nauseous and wanted to stop fighting.
