Should a list of planets be added to this page? [[User:King of Herdaz|King of Herdaz]] ([[User talk:King of Herdaz|talk]]) 05:26, 21 February 2020 (UTC)

:I'm not opposed to that, but I wouldn't make it a table like on the cosmere page. That works there because there's a bunch of things to list about the planets, but that's not really the case here. On the other hand, the planets haven't really been a focus of the series, so I'm not sure how necessary this would be and the article feels like it flows really well right now. There's also the question of how to treat space stations like Starsight. If we do add this, I'd suggest putting it in the Inhabitants section.<br>--[[User:Stargazer|Stargazer]] ([[User talk:Stargazer|talk]]) 06:17, 21 February 2020 (UTC)

:Maybe a 'notable locations' section? Most of these planets aren't worth mentioning on this page I don't think, but it could be worth listing Earth, Detritus, Starsight? That way if we get any juicy nowhere locations/planets we can add that in as well. [[User:LadyLameness|LadyLameness]] ([[User talk:LadyLameness|talk]]) 06:36, 21 February 2020 (UTC)

I was thinking a of listing all of the known worlds, [[Detritus]], the [[kitsen homeworld]], [[Starsight (station)|Starsight]], etc. (there are some more worlds mentioned but I don't remember their names offhand) with a small brief about each one with either a link in the text to its main article or a <code><nowiki>{{for|planet name}}</nowiki></code> instead. :Here's the complete list of planets (sorry, can't make it indent):

<dynamicpagelist>

category = Cytoverse

category = Celestial bodies

count = 6

</dynamicpagelist>

:Starsight is tricky, because then we have to figure out exactly how big a space station has to be before listing it as a planet: does [[Evensong]], for example, count? I don't think so, but we'd want to be able to articulate exactly ''why'' it doesn't. Calling it "Notable Locations" instead would alleviate some of that problem, and also mean we can leave off planets like [[Farhaven]] that really aren't that important. I think Notable Locations would also cope better with whatever weird stuff Spensa's probably going to find in the nowhere next book. We could probably do short descriptions like the ones I wrote on my cosmere page ([[User:Stargazer/Cosmere#Planets]]), but that would be pretty short. I think my preference at this point would be to do that for Earth, Detritus, Starsight, and maybe the kitsen homeworld, with the caveat that we'll probably need to re-evaluate this after the next book.<br>--[[User:Stargazer|Stargazer]] ([[User talk:Stargazer|talk]]) 17:05, 21 February 2020 (UTC)</br>

::I don't think it's worth listing all of them to be honest, most of these can be considered minor mentions and if we keep getting mentions like this, we'll end up with a list cluttered by rather unimportant articles. I think it's better to just list the important ones instead, it would also allow for flexibility in giving short descriptions I think, whereas if they're all listed, descriptions get out of hand very quickly. Using 'locations' instead of 'planets' will also make it easier to include places such as Starsight and any weird mumbo jumbo places that might be found in the nowhere (which may not be planets). Also gonna tag @[[User:Rasarr]] to bring her into this conversation as she created this page. :) (Also Stargazer, I've just closed off you <-b->'s so the edit box wasn't completely pink, hopefully that is okay with you :)) [[User:LadyLameness|LadyLameness]] ([[User talk:LadyLameness|talk]]) 19:30, 21 February 2020 (UTC)

:::Yep, agree on all that. Also, didn't realize that's how break tags work and apparently my screen doesn't do the going pink thing, because that's news to me. I have absolutely no complaints about you doing that though.<br>--[[User:Stargazer|Stargazer]] ([[User talk:Stargazer|talk]]) 19:35, 21 February 2020 (UTC)</br>

:::Inhabitants could have a "notable locations" subsection, sure. Not sure why I didn't consider it myself - possibly because a lot of said notable locations (Earth, Detritus, Starsight) are already in the navbox? Still, if we feel like adding it would be useful, why not. [[User:Rasarr|Rasarr]] ([[User talk:Rasarr|talk]]) 23:50, 21 February 2020 (UTC)
