− | Steris goes and brings Wax home from the hospital. Wax is distracted, and tells Steris that if he hadn't given Wayne a spike, Wayne wouldn't have been able to push him off the ship. Wax feels guilty about Wayne's death, and wishes he could've said goodbye. Steris convinces Wax that it was Wayne's own decision, and that his death wasn't Wax's fault. Steris shows Wax that she has a list of Wayne quotes to use in various situations, as a way of remembering him. They go into their suite, Wax is greeted by his son Max, who congratulates him on saving the world. Kath hands Steris a letter from Varlance, in which he offers her a position in the Elendel government as the city's Disaster Preparations Officer. He thanks her, and says he is now seen as a hero thanks to her. Steris is delighted, and Wax proposes that the best way for them to honor Wayne's memory is to simply let themselves be happy. |
