;Plot Summary
Ryan apologizes for taking it too far and gives John a hard time for not knowing what he enjoys. It seems as if John is trying to figure out what he likes and what he's good at, as he has been keeping a list of things he likes in a notebook. Ryan is going to do the harder part of their plan to get to Ulric, while John gets to run straight into the trap. Ryan gives John some marshmallows, and John thinks about how they would go camping with Ryan's dad. John talks about how he was kicked out of the academy and lets Ryan know that he didn't quit. Ryan tries to tell John to take responsibility for his downfalls, but John has had unfortunate circumstances. John says that when Jen left is when he really knew he was hopeless. John believes that he killed Jen, and that he drove her away. Ryan tells John that he doesn't blame him for what happened to Jen. Both men loved the same woman, but overall Jen chose John. Ryan refers to them defeating Ulric as John's escape from the avalanche of his life.
