− | Spensa gets back into her ship, and M-Bot swears for the first time, which impresses Spensa. Spensa explains what happened to the others. She talks to Hesho, talks about joining the Cannonade Faction. Spensa talks about Hesho’s past, and he can remember bits and pieces of it. He vows to remain with Spensa as her bodyguard. They fly back to the other ships, and Vlep retreats from the battle with his pirates. He tries to take Hesho with him, who refuses. Peg tries to convince Lorn, leader of the Superiority ships, to surrender and help take back Surehold. Lorn says the Superiority is keeping his family captive. Peg suggests holding the Superiority’s acclivity stone as a ransom so that they return Lorn’s captive family. Lorn agrees, and gives Peg all of the base’s security codes. |
