== Early Life ==
Vin was born to [[Tevidian Tekiel]], lord prelan of the [[Steel Ministry]], and his skaa mistress. She and her (unnamed) sister inherited Allomantic powers from their father (her sister was a [[bronze|Seeker]]).
Her mother was insane and killed Vin's baby sister and subsequently gave Vin a small earring.
