Brightlord Resi was a Shardbearer from Alethkar on Roshar.

He was given the title of Royal Defender , the traditional bearer of the Shardplate and Shardblade of the royal line of Thanadal by Highprince Thanadal. His Shardplate was painted yellow and he tends to favour the fighting style of Stonestance. He lost a duel to Adolin Kholin who challenged Resi to a duel after house Thanadel insulted Dalinar.
