Aona was a Shardholder on Sel.

Before the events of Elantris, they were killed by Rayse and the Shard that they held was Splintered.

Mentions

The only time the name Aona has appeared in the Canonical Cosmere books so far is in the Part 2 epigraphs of The Way of Kings, where we are told that they are dead.

Due to the correlation of names, it seems likely that Aona is the holder of the Shard related to Aon Dor.
