This template is used to refer to in-world maps. It uses {{map}} to find the map file name.

To use, include {{map ref|location|alt-name}}

  • {{{2}}} replaces the place text (for example {{map|Final Empire|the Final Empire}} will show 'Map of the Final Empire')
  • {{{text}}} replaces the whole link text
  • {{{pre}}} is included before the link
  • {{{post}}} is included after the link
  • {{{name}}} replaces {{map|{{{1}}}}} as the reference name
  • {{{group}}} sets the reference group
